Music is my passion. I cannot imagine my world without it. I remember auditioning to become a folksinger in a well-known nightclub/bar in Manila back in the late 70’s, but my mother was against the idea. "Finish your schooling son, and have a real career..." I obliged, and completed my degree in nursing. This career has so much to offer, and it helped shape the caring, loving and compassionate person I am today.
Although I never became the entertainer or singer I’d imagined, I’ve never stopped playing for myself, and now, I can share my music at the bedside. My audience includes patients with ongoing health concerns, their families and friends. My approach to songwriting is unique in the sense that I gather all my thoughts and inspirations for these musical pieces as each story unfolds in front of me. Trauma ICU has given me the opportunity to get closer to these individuals and allowed me to reach out deeper into their minds and souls. In an effort to nurture their spirits, I share the gift of music from my heart.
My mom was right! After finishing school and landing a stable career, I can also be a musician in this unique and special way.
